Mississippi Outdoors: Plan in place to reintroduce panthers to Miss. (Memphis Commercial Appeal)
Could it be?: A recent Associated Press report out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., listed Mississippi among several states federal wildlife officials plan to reintroduce panthers into in an effort to boost the panther population by restoring new populations outside the endangered cat's South Florida stronghold.
